Jimmy Adriaenssens goes UK, Brands Hatch – ENG

After a strict national career, Jimmy Adriaenssens will be driving in Brands Hatch , UK 15 – 16th Octobre. He will be competing in the Competition Car Insurance Ford Fiesta Championship during the Formula Ford Festival. Our young warrior will defend the national colors of his homeland Belgium and is certainly hoping to treat Belgium with a victory.

His sessions exist in one free practice, one qualifying session and two races in which the results of the first race will determine the starting grid of the second race. His car number is ‘7’!

Jimmy, who has never competed in a right hand driven car is very much looking forward to the event. “The Brands Hatch racing circuit has always been one of mine to-do racing tracks, especially because it knows such a long history. It goes back to end ’40, begin ’50 and hasn’t changed much ever since. Please do not get me wrong, I surely appreciate all the efforts for improving our Belgian racing tracks in terms of safety and infrastructure, but I do admire the ‘Old School’ atmosphere around many English racing tracks. Over there you can feel the whole object is 100% about pure racing, I can’t wait!”

Only one week later the final rounds of the BTCS-championship will be held in  Spa-Francorchamps. The duo Adriaenssens Jimmy – Nye David W., who have lost a large amount of points due to mechanical failure in Zolder (Belgian Masters) will do everything to regain their first place and eventually the title. “It will be a big job to regain the title after what we’ve been through last weekend. The competition needs to score little points before we even have the opportunity to become champion. Though Jimmy and I keep believing there is a way and we’ll do everything to reward all the hard work of the Spork Racing Team. They really deserve to become champion and we’ll try our very best!” David W. Nye.

For the last raceweekend ‘Francorchampagne’ Spork Racing is still searching for a second driver on Supercopa 54. Jonas De Kimpe who has proved to be a fast, consistent and clean driver has already confirmed and is ready to win in Spa-Francorchamps. For more info, please contact Jimmy or Herman Adriaenssens.
